Supporting future clinicians through supervision

It is a requirement for all graduate students in clinical social work or clinical counseling to obtain a certain amount of supervised clinical hours. Many organizations only provide supervision to employees, which leaves many upcoming professionals behind.

You don’t need to look any further. We can provide you with personalized, caring, and supportive supervision to help you grow professionally and personally.

We offer clinical supervision for both Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW) and Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPC) in Maryland.

Engaging communities through education

Stigma surrounding mental health issues is still a pervasive problem in our communities. The greatest way to address this problem is through education. We are extremely passionate about stomping out stigma, because each day we see the negative impact it has on our clients. Some families will not seek support because of negative beliefs that communities have toward mental illness.

TE Enterprises Consulting, LLC have expand professional development, resources and other supports provided throughout Maryland and surrounding states.

Our biggest partnership endeavor is teaching Mental Health First Aid, USA.

Youth Mental Health First Aid

Youth Mental Health USA is a public education program that introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents.

Additionally, the program builds understanding of the importance of early intervention and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge.

Mental Health First Aid uses role-playing and simulations to demonstrate how to assess a mental health crisis, select interventions and provide initial help, and connect young people to professional, peer, social, and self-help care.

The USA curriculum is primarily focused on information participants can use to help adolescents and transition-age youth, ages 12-18.

The course teaches participants the risk factors and warning signs of a variety of mental health challenges that are common among adolescents, including anxiety, depression, psychosis, eating disorders, AD/HD, disruptive behavior disorders, and substance use disorder.

Participants do not learn to diagnose or how to provide any therapy or counseling. Rather, participants learn to support youth by developing signs and symptoms of a mental illness or in an emotional crisis by applying a core five-step action plan.

Julie Fleagle, Co-Owner of Willow Tree Counseling Center, is a National Mental Health First Aid USA Trainer and is available to teach YMHFA across the USA.

Adult Mental Health First Aid

Adult Mental Health First Aid is very similar to the Youth course; however, it teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or challenges of substance abuse in adults ages 18 and older.

The course teaches you how to offer and provide initial help and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.

We offer the Higher Education, Older Adult, and Public Safety modules.
